About
Fragile World

The Fragile World Project has been set up by a small group of human rights activists who realised they shared a strong concern about sustainability and endangered species issues as well. We found that this combination of interests is a common one - many people want to make a difference in a lot of areas, but aren't sure how, or don't have time.

We decided to create an easy-to-use website where people can easily and effectively take action on a range of issues which are important to them.

We focus on four of the big issues facing our planet. They all overlap and need to be dealt with together.

The Fragile World Project hopes to appeal to the wider community as well as people already active in the environmental, human rights and sustainability movements.

We work with organisations which are trying to make a positive difference in our fragile world, and encourage action on the issues they highlight. We offer a way for organisations to expand their campaigning capacity so their work can reach a bigger audience.

We are a not-for-profit group, and are in the process of establishing a formal structure as a legal entity.

The Fragile World Project has received a peace grant from Quaker Peace and Service Aotearoa/New Zealand. This will be used to cover the costs of running this website for the next year. We are very grateful for the grant which we see as a vote of confidence in the Fragile World Project and its future. For more information visit Quaker Peace and Service Aotearoa/New Zealand
